Our firefighters, control teams and support staff are ready for action 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Emergency response is our most recognisable role. We attend over 90,000 incidents a year. This can cover everything from fires, traffic collisions, water rescues, and chemical spills.

Our role begins long before any 999 call is made. In communities across Scotland we work to deliver safety messages in the fight against fire.

We also have a hardworking team of support staff. This includes accountants, ICT specialists, and technicians. All without whom we could not function and support our front line.

We adhere to high service standards and commitment to development. This ensures that our staff continue to be among the best equipped and highly trained in the world.
