In order to scrutinise and approve key strategic decisions being made by the Service, the Board of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service meets on a regular basis.
Plans are now in place for formal meetings of the Board to be held on a bi-monthly basis and once safe to do so again at different venues across Scotland. In doing so, the Board aims to make the meetings more accessible to its stakeholders, therefore strengthening the connection between the service and all the communities it serves.
Should any members of the public wish to attend and observe SFRS Board or Committee public meetings remotely via conference facilities then they can do so by sending their name, contact details and email address to the SFRS Board Support Team who will then send out a link to join the meeting.
The formal meetings of the Board are open to the public, except during the consideration of private or confidential items which will be dealt with in accordance with the rules outlined in the Standing Orders for meetings of the Board and its Committees and Sub-Committees. A full list of these meetings is detailed below.
