One of the driving forces behind the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service’s national recruitment drive is urging you to seize the moment and join the next generation of firefighters.
Sarah Larios is an SFRS HR manager and will help provide assistance and sign-post applicants wishing to find out more about a career as a firefighter.
She will co-host a Twitter Q&A session with Deputy Assistant Chief Officer Peter Heath on Friday, March 15.
Reflecting on her role, Sarah said: “I’m looking forward to directly engaging with some of our potential candidates.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for them to ask about the process for applying and also asking DACO Heath about the firefighter role.
“No question is a bad question and we will try to answer as many as we can within the time frame.”
Sarah, who joined the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service in 2014 is looking forward to helping recruit future firefighters.
She added: “We are striving to get the best of the best applying for the upcoming recruitment intake.
“Although we are actively encouraging applications from under-represented groups – our process is open to all.
“My advice to all candidates is read our online guidance, don’t rush your application and reach out to your local fire station for some extra advice.”
Interested candidates can take part in the SFRS’s Twitter live Q&A on Friday, March 15 from 12.45pm.
