Your Safety

In this section you will find a range of resources which you can use to support young people and community groups develop their knowledge and live more safely.

Fireworks and Bonfire Safety

You can help the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to reduce the risk of injury to our children and young people by raising their awareness of the serious dangers associated with fireworks and bonfires.  You can also help us to prevent anti social behaviour within our community by raising young people’s awareness of the potential consequences associated with deliberate fire setting, fire hydrant vandalism, attacks on firefighters and maliciously setting off fire alarms.

You can download and view our powerpoint presentation and lesson plan designed for young people from P6 to P7. The presentation should not be delivered to pupils out with this age range due to their content. We also have an additional presentation and lesson plan available for Secondary pupils to view.

PRIMARY SCHOOL (P6-P7)

SECONDARY SCHOOL (S1-S2)

You can find more fire safety information and teaching resources for young people available from Go Safe Scotland.
