Job description

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a People Manager within our People Partnering Team. This is an exciting time to join the People team as we continue to embed our People vision and revised operating model, working together for a safer Scotland.

Our Strategic People Partners are embedded across SFRS and you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with business areas to understand their People needs, building their People capabilities and developing and delivering solutions to meet their People priorities.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Chartered MCIPD, with a degree and Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a management role, with experience leading People teams and projects
  • Ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders, as well as develop strong relationships with strategic partners
  • Previous experience within a People Partnering role is advantageous, including development of People solutions to meet business needs
  • A flexible, agile and enthusiastic approach

This post is fixed term (up to 2 years) and full-time (35 hours per week) however, applications from individuals seeking to work on a part-time, job-share or flexible working basis will be considered. The People Directorate supports agile working so location is flexible, although the ability to travel across SFRS is required.
