SFRS Strategy 2025-2028

Find out about why we need a SFRS Strategy and how you can contribute.

Overview

The SFRS Strategy sets the direction for how we will evolve over the next three years.

It is an important step towards progressing our Long-Term Vision as a Service.

We have clear goals that we will achieve for the people of Scotland. This plan will help us make decisions about our actions and how we will use our resources from 2025 to 2028.

The strategy sets our national direction and shapes our approach to how we plan and deliver our services. In turn, this will shape other work plans across the Service.

We also have our long-term vision, setting our direction for the next ten years.

This plan is the first step in an ongoing journey to become Scotland's sustainable and modern fire and rescue service.

Why we need the SFRS Strategy

The SFRS Strategy will clearly outline our goals and direction. It will specify what we all need to work towards. Having a strategy like this or corporate plan is important for any organisation. Additionally, the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Act 2012 requires us to have a strategic plan to set out our intentions.
