The Battle of the Badges will take place at Cove Rangers' Balmoral Stadium on June 30.
Firefighters are set to go into battle against the police – to raise money to help support sick children.
The emergency service partners work closely together on a daily basis in order to keep communities across the country safe from harm.
But on Saturday, June 30, the frontline colleagues will become football foes in the Battle of the Badges, staged at Balmoral Stadium - the new multi-million pound home of Cove Rangers.
The showdown is being held to raise money for the ARCHIE Foundation, the official charity of the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
ARCHIE funds specialist staff, equipment, facilities and emergency grants to support patients and their families.
David Farries is the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service’s Deputy Assistant Chief Officer for the North of Scotland.
He said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service does so much more than just fight fires.
“Our firefighters are also role models for young people. They serve at the very heart of their communities and will always stand ready to assist charitable funding wherever possible.
“We also never shy away from a challenge – especially one from our police partners – and we are delighted to throw our weight behind this fundraiser.
“The Battle of the Badges will be a fun and friendly match in support of an inspiring charity, and we very much hope to have the full support of communities across Aberdeen and beyond to raise as much as possible.”
Each player will be matched with their own mascot – a current or former patient at RACH. Players and mascots will work together over the coming months to raise funds and awareness in support of ARCHIE.
Every year, ARCHIE impacts on the healthcare of nearly 200,000 sick children in Aberdeen and across the north of Scotland.
Money raised from the Battle of the Badges will help pay for specialist equipment, to create a special hospital environment, fund family support and enhance staff training.

The Battle of the Badges will be the latest charitable rivalry between both emergency services.
Last August, a Denny-based SFRS defeated a team from Police Scotland in a race to the top of the mighty Ben Nevis - dressed in their full personal protective equipment.
Before the epic mountain challenge, the police came out on top in both a football match in Irvine, Ayrshire, and a tug-o-war contest in Bathgate, West Lothian.
