Firefighters have been appealing for goods like toothbrushes, toothpaste and shower gel to share with hospitals throughout East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde.
It's hoped the move will help patients who are no longer receiving visitors due to the country being under social isolation.
Crew Commander Allan Gemmel has helped organise the collection.
He said: "We knew patients and medial staff may be struggling to get their hands on some every day essentials.
"These are simple things we can all take for granted like shower gel and toothpaste.
"We know patients aren't getting visitors and some medical staff are working extremely long shifts.
"So we thought that if we can collect and drop off these items then we will.
"We're happy to help."
The first collection has now been handed over to staff at Paisley's Royal Alexandra Hospital.
CC Gemmel added: "The medical staff were delighted with the donations.
"The items will be distributed around the wards.
"Hopefully they can help make a big difference."
