Anthony Nolan Charity Partnership - End of Term School Report

With school summer holidays underway, we’re reflecting on a successful term with our charity partner Anthony Nolan.

Our report card shows, 20 school events have taken place across Scotland, more than 2,000 pupils were spoken to about stem cell donation, 1,043 potential donors signed up to the Anthony Nolan stem cell register. Eight people who signed up to the register through our charity partnership have donated to help someone in need in the past year. This has taken our total number of donors to 112.

Our 20,000 donor also signed up to the register at a high school event in Edinburgh.

We thank all our amazing volunteers who have visited schools, connected with teachers and young people and made a difference to help people in need of a stem cell transplant.

Anthony Nolan recruits people aged 16-30 to the stem cell register as research has shown younger people are more likely to be chosen to donate.
