Coatbridge firefighters launch Easter egg appeal to spread joy across Lanarkshire
Donations can be dropped off at your local fire stations across Lanarkshire.

Firefighters at Coatbridge Community Fire Station have launched their annual Easter egg appeal.
They are urging communities across the region to come together in support of children and young people who need a little extra happiness this spring.
Working alongside local charities and community groups, the station hopes to collect hundreds of Easter eggs to distribute to those who need it most.
Last year, over 500 boxes of Easter treats were collected and delivered to various organisations and throughout Lanarkshire, thanks to the overwhelming support from the public.
Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference.
Area Commander Jim Quinn is the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service’s Local Senior Officer for Lanarkshire area. He said: “We were blown away by the kindness of the community last year.
“This appeal is about more than just chocolate – it’s about showing kids that their community cares.
“Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference.”
Donations can be handed in to Coatbridge Community Fire Station or drop them off at your local fire stations across Lanarkshire.
The final day for donations is Thursday, 17 April.
