Emergency Services visit Jak’s Den
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) has taken part in the annual blue light visit to Jak’s Den in Livingston, the headquarters for Team Jak.
Team Jak provides essential emotional and social support to children and families during and after cancer treatment. Programs include drop-ins, coffee sessions, group support, activity days, music therapy, and more.
Crews from Livingston and West Calder attended the day alongside Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Around 25 children from the central belt met Marshall and Chase from Paw Patrol. They had fun exploring all the emergency service vehicles, enjoyed games, ice lollies and donuts. A highlight of the day was the hose rolling competition.
Crew Commander Theresa Penrice of Livingston Community Fire Station has organised these events for several years with the help of emergency service partners and the SFRS continues to support Team Jak through an annual car wash.
