SFRS publishes second Gaelic language plan
We are delighted to launch the second edition of our Gaelic Language Plan for 2023 - 2026.
Our plan has been shaped by our staff and communities as part of a public consultation exercise completed in early 2022.
We are committed to supporting national efforts to expand the use of Gaelic in a wider range of situations.
We believe that the Gaelic language belongs to all of us and want to shine a light on its history and heritage.
The plan has been developed in partnership with Bòrd na Gàidhlig and meets the requirements as set out within the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005.
Our employees contributed to the public consultation exercise completed in early 2022, their thoughts and the thoughts of the wider communities of Scotland assisted us in the development of our second plan.
SFRS a' foillseachadh an dàrna plana Gàidhlig
Tha Seirbheis Smàlaidh is Teasairginn na h-Alba an-diugh air leth toilichte an dàrna eagran den Phlana Ghàidhlig againn airson 2023 - 2026 a chur air bhog.
Chaidh ar plana a chumadh leis an luchd-obrach agus na coimhearsnachdan againn mar phàirt de cho-chomhairle phoblach a rinneadh tràth ann an 2022.
Tha sinn dealasach a thaobh taic a thoirt do oidhirpean nàiseanta gus cleachdadh na Gàidhlig a leudachadh ann an raon nas fharsainge de shuidheachaidhean.
Tha sinn den bheachd gum buin a’ Ghàidhlig dhuinn uile agus tha sinn airson aire a thogail mu a h-eachdraidh agus a dualchas.
Chaidh am plana a chruthachadh ann an com-pàirteachas le Bòrd na Gàidhlig agus tha e a’ coinneachadh ris na riatanasan a tha air am mìneachadh ann an Achd na Gàidhlig (Alba) 2005.
