Manufacturers may, on occasion, issue product recall notices for certain electrical appliances where the product could affect the safety of the user and consumer.
Domestic electrical appliances such as washing machines, fridges, dishwashers, kettles and hairdryers are part of everyday use in the home, but some of these products have been recalled by manufacturers because there is a risk of electric shock or fire.
Make sure you know if one of the electrical items in your home has been recalled due to a safety issue. Register your appliances now at www.registermyappliance.org.uk/registration/
Simply check out the list of products recalled on Electrical Safety First website to find out if your product is listed as a recall item, there is a section which explains what to do with your recalled product.
If you search for a product and it is not listed, this means that it has not been recalled and should be safe to use. However, if you do have concerns about its safety, contact the retailer or manufacturer to alert them to a potential problem.
We urge you to visit the Electrical Safety First site and utilise the online tool for consumers to quickly and easily check the safety of their electrical products.
